What is a seat?
A seat is room for one user. Every user account, whether active or deactivated, and every pending invitation uses a seat. You pay for the seats you buy, whether or not they are all in use.
When does the lower rate apply?
As soon as you buy 5 or more seats, every seat is charged at £3.99 per month, not just the extra ones. Below 5 seats the rate is £4.49.
Can I add or remove seats?
Yes. Seats you add are charged straight away at the full monthly price and then renew with the rest. Seats you remove stop at your next billing date, and the current month is not refunded. You cannot go below the number of users and invitations you currently have.
Is there a minimum charge?
One seat, so the minimum is £4.49 a month.
How do I pay?
By card. Payments are taken monthly in advance through Stripe, our payment provider, on the same day each month. Card details are entered on a secure Stripe page, not on this website.
Is VAT added?
No VAT currently charged. The prices shown are the amounts you are billed.
Is there a contract?
No. LicenceGuard is billed monthly with no annual commitment.
How do I cancel?
Cancel from your account at any time. Your subscription stays available until the end of the billing period you have already paid for. If you cancel during the free trial, you are not charged and keep access until the trial ends.
What happens if a payment fails?
If a renewal payment fails, we retry it over the next 7 days and email you, and your account stays fully usable meanwhile. If it is still unpaid, your subscription ends and the account becomes read-only for 7 days, then locked. Your data is kept for six months and then anonymised; subscribing again before then restores access.
Can I get invoices?
Yes. Your invoice history is available inside LicenceGuard and each invoice can be downloaded as a PDF.
