This policy explains the cookies used on licenceguard.co.uk and in the LicenceGuard application. In short: we only use cookies that are needed for the site and the application to work securely. We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies.

Cookies are small text files stored on your device by a website. Some are essential for a site to work; others are used for analytics or advertising. Similar technologies, such as local storage, are covered by this policy too.
Cookies on this website
Visitors to licenceguard.co.uk are not given analytics or advertising cookies. The only cookies that may be set are strictly necessary:
- Security cookies from Cloudflare, our network provider, which may be set to tell people apart from automated traffic and protect the site from abuse (for example
__cf_bm). - WordPress cookies for our own staff who sign in to manage the website. Visitors who do not sign in do not receive these.
Because these cookies are strictly necessary, we do not ask for consent before setting them.
We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand page performance and visit counts in aggregate. It does not set cookies, use local storage or track you across other websites.
Cookies in the LicenceGuard application
The application at app.licenceguard.co.uk uses strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in securely. They are secure, HTTP-only cookies that cannot be read by scripts in the browser, and they are removed when you sign out or they expire.
The application may also remember simple preferences on your device, such as light or dark theme.
Payments
When you add a card, the payment page is provided by Stripe. Stripe may set its own cookies on its own pages for fraud prevention and security. See Stripe’s cookie policy.
Managing cookies
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block strictly necessary cookies, parts of the website or the application may not work, and you will not be able to stay signed in to the application.
Changes
If we ever add analytics or other non-essential cookies, we will update this policy and ask for your consent before setting them.
